The B-Daman Tournament Set is a strange thing indeed. After extensive internet-based research I found myself still clueless as to what this product actually does. Eventually I decided to consult my little brother, who knows about such things. Apparenly the set consists of a stadium that comes with enough accessories to play up to ten different games. The objective seems to be to “shoot stuff at stuff, and knock stuff over”. The toy has been likened to Beyblade, but user reviews have slated Beyblade as boring in favour of B-Daman, stating that this new improved offering from Hasbro requires “actual skill, and not just luck”.
So if you were one of the many queueing for the Beyblade stadium back in 2003, my advice is to check out Toys ‘R Us The B-Daman Tournament set is currently retailing at about £19.95, but at the moment Toys ‘R Us have a special offer of £14.87. If you are ordering online, be wary of the postage and packaging, which for this item is £3.90 but can get pretty hefty if you are ordering any large items.
One retailer to be wary of is Tesco online, who are currently selling this product at a whopping £24.99.
Availability
You’ll have to be quick. At the moment many online stores are out of stock, but currently Amazon.co.uk are offering free delivery, expected within 4-6 weeks. They also have a number of new and used products for sale. The Toys ‘R Us website states they expect to deliver in around four working days, though this may vary during the Christmas period.
